Judy Roraff with Haulover Pottery

My Own Pottery:

I started making pottery when my mom loaned me her kiln, that could be used for firing glass and clay. I bought some clay and started by pottery journey. I make items to sell, and if you are intersted in any of the pieces you see on my site, please complete contact form by selecting the Contact button in the upper right corner.

Classes:

I started having friends and family interested in making pieces, this led into offering small 1-3 people classes. Each class will consist of 2 sessions, about 2 weeks apart. The first session you will make your piece(s), and we will discuss glazes. After the first session, the clay needs to dry slowly and go thru a first firing, this takes about 2 weeks. In the second session you will glaze your pottery. Gazing is amazing, there are so many color and technique options. After glazing, your piece(s) will go thru a second firing, this “melts” the glaze on the clay and vitrifies the clay to make it water impermeable. Your piece(s) will be ready to pickup about a week after the second session.

I will provide everything you need in the class, come prepared to have fun.
